Kyle and Cody Travers are brothers who take part in the sport of underground fighting. As Cody Travers' younger brother, Kyle is the star of the underground Metro City fight club, spending nights fighting various other fighters in order to earn enough quick cash to make ends meet. After the end of a fight one evening, Kyle and Cody decide to meet at the local bar to celebrate with some beers and a round of pool; however, Cody has some unspoken business that delays his arrival for an hour. After Kyle arrives at the bar, he plays a game with his girlfriend and bar owner Vanessa Simms, while waiting for Cody. Kyle later finds out that Cody is using a powerful strength-enhancing drug called "glow", which helps the arthritis in his knees. Kyle later discovers that glow is being made by a psychotic priest named Father Bella, who hopes to use the drug to bring about the apocalypse. When Kyle finds Bella on the roof of his church, Cody is with him, mutated by a concentrated dose of glow. It is later revealed that Bella is actually the younger brother of Belger, the antagonist of the original game, just before he and Kyle begin to fight.

Final Fight Revenge is a 1999 American-developed 3D one-on-one fighting game. The game was produced by the American division of Capcom (later known as "Capcom Production Studio 8"), the same team that later produced Maximo: Ghosts to Glory and Final Fight: Streetwise. Final Fight Revenge was released for the arcades on July 1999 and ran on the Sega ST-V arcade hardware,. It is the only Final Fight sequel released for the arcades. A home version was released for the Sega Saturn on March 30, 2000, which was the last Capcom game officially released for the platform. The Sega Saturn version was only available in Japan. However, the game can be played in English if the console's internal language is set to any other language besides Japanese. A Sega Dreamcast version of this game was in development, but, was never released.

You can also pick up and use various melee weapons that gang members tend to drop when you hit them. The game also has some bonus levels in which you can score extra lifes.

Together with Jessica's boyfriend Cody, and ninja friend Guy, Haggar's gonna clean up the streets of Metro City the only way he can now: stompin' and smashin' some skulls in! Final Fight CD is a special CD version of the original Final Fight, with a new arranged CD soundtrack and extra features. It is a Sega CD exclusive game.

Joined by Lucia, a detective in the Metro City Police's Special Crimes Unit, and Dean, a street fighter whose family was murdered by the Skull Cross Gang, Guy and Haggar must once again save Metro City from its newest menace.
