Crash Bash is a multi-event party game in which four people can play several minigames as characters from the Crash Bandicoot series. Characters include Coco, Brio, Dingodile, Tiny, and Neo Cortex. The games are organized from a central hub world from which spokes lead to different levels. Games include pong, in which players defend one side of the screen, and a pogo-stick game, in which players hop to change the color of squares on a board by landing on them, then earn points by collecting boxes. Another game places characters on the backs of polar bears as they try to ram each other off the sides of an iceberg, with variants that include melting ice and playfield angles that change with your location. Each game features variations; some allow for two-player teams.

Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex is the first Crash Bandicoot game for a system other than the original PlayStation. The story is set some time after Warped: Dr. Cortex wants revenge after being defeated by Crash (again). For this purpose, he creates Crunch, a super-bandicoot who can destroy everything that crosses his way. So Crash needs to defeat Crunch (and in the end, Dr. Cortex). The game is a typical jump and run, with some other action passages, like air combat and a sequence where Crash is trapped inside a giant sphere rolling around in some sort of rollercoaster. All graphics are in 3D, and the sound is typical for cartoon games like this. The whole game is pretty straightforward in design, getting stuck on a puzzle is not really possible.

Tired of endlessly doing battle with meddling bandicoots, the nefarious Dr. Neo Cortex shrinks the entire Earth, and Crash and Coco along with it, to the size of a wumpa fruit. Luckily, Coco invents a machine to reverse the effects, but she needs crystals from around the world to power it. Crash must retrieve the crystals to help return the entire planet to its natural state. Где-то на территории Австралии учёный Dr. Neo Cortex проводит в своей лаборатории опыты над пойманным зверьком, Крэшем. Делает он это для того, чтобы осуществить свою мечту — создать армию и поработить весь мир. Он нацеливает на несчастного бандикута пушку, называемую Evolvo Ray, способный, по легенде, давать животным человеческие способности, но по некоторому стечению обстоятельств пушка не успевает завершить свой процесс и главный герой сбегает. По видимому, вместо того чтобы Крэш возглавлял армию доктора Кортекса и часами размышлял над тактикой проведения его мечты в жизнь, бедняга наоборот лишается своих последних мозгов и теряет дар речи. Однако доктор оказывается не таким глупым, чтобы не учесть плана Б. Он похищает девушку Крэша, Tawna. В итоге Крэш выпрыгивает в окно и оказывается на берегу острова N.Sanity и тут завязывается начало игры. В спасении своей возлюбленной на протяжении всей игры Крэшу будет помогать некий дух, заточённый в облик маски — Aku Aku. Игра насыщена разного рода юмором: даже смерти главного героя выглядят забавно.
