Unlike most Barbie games, this game is a standard platform game rather than a simulation of the life of a female fashion model. Barbie must find an outfit for her date with Ken. The environment features a shopping mall level, an underwater level, and other worlds to explore. The game is also centered around collecting gems and pearls to fend off opponents. Enemies in the game include the usual sharks found in underwater levels in addition to jellyfish. Moving cubes of sugar must also be defeated in the game. The bonus rounds of the game are essentially a Concentration-type game where matching identical cards lead to extra points for the player.

Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses is the story of Barbie as Genevieve, 1 of 12 sisters who live happily with their father the king. Concerned that the high-spirited, independent princesses need more structure to become proper princesses, the king invites his cousin, the Dutchess Rowena to move into the castle. Rather than help, Rowina forbids the sisters from singing and dancing and squelches their individuality. The princesses discover a magical enchanted world and escape the tyranny of Rowena. But when Genevieve learns that their father's life is in danger, the sisters must unite to save the king and their kingdom.

In Barbie Horse Adventures: Wild Horse Rescue, a bunch of horses have been frightened by a lightning storm and Barbie must go round them back up. Her horse serves to move her around the terrain, but she must get off to do much else. The storm also knocked some things down, so she must climb or clear obstacles to access certain areas. When she finds a horse, she must pet it to calm it down if it's a foal, or lasso a bigger horse, then lead it to a hitching post and call the stable on her cell phone. There are also coins to find which can be used to buy new outfits for Barbie or her horse. The object of the game is to rescue all the horses and complete Barbie's wardrobe.

Barbie as The Island Princess follows the storyline of the popular DVD launch in a fun party-style format. You'll play as Rosella the shipwrecked princess who is raised by a "family" of animal friends and rescued by Prince Antonio from her tropical island. Through a series of mini-games featuring music and characters from the movie you will venture from Rosella's island home to the Prince's coastal castle in a fun-filled adventure!

Barbie has a big day tomorrow, so she needs to get a good nights rest. She has strange dreams about all her planned activities. She must traverse five levels made up of a total of thirteen stages to make it through the night. Barbie travels through various location in the mall, at the beach and in the soda shop trying to make it from the left side of each level to the right. Each level is populated with animals and with living objects of the sort you would find in that location. She can jump with the A button and throw crystals with the B button. The longer you hold the button down, the farther each crystal is thrown. She has three kinds of crystals, each of which has a different effect. One makes creatures help her, one defeats them and one has varying effects.

Barbarian: The Ultimate Warrior is a fighting game that supports one or two players. Players assume the roles of sword-wielding barbarians, who battle in locales such as a forest glade and a "fighting pit". The game's head-to-head mode lets a player fight against another or the computer in time-limited matches.
