Wipeout is the first release in the racing videogame series WipEout. Developed and published by Psygnosis, it was released in 1995 for PC. Set in the year 2052, Wipeout features superfast anti-gravity racing with futuristic vehicles of 4 different teams, representing Japan, USA, Russia and Europe. 8 unique weapon pick-ups like mines, rockets and EMPs are available during racing on 7 fast paced tracks all around the globe. The single player campaign progresses through the first three years of the A.G.R.C. (Anti-Gravity Racing Championships): 2048, 2049, and 2050. All events have pass and elite pass targets. Unless the elite pass criteria is met unknowingly, it will only be displayed after a player passes an event. If the player fails to complete an event multiple times in a row, the event can be skipped. Skipping an event will allow the player to move on to the next available event; a player can return to a skipped event at any time in order to try it again.

Wipeout XL is the second part in the racing game series WipEout and was released by developer & publisher Psygnosis in 1997. In the F5000 anti gravity league, various pilots from different nations fight for glory with their flying vehicles; aside from increased overall speed and 11, partly overhauled, types of weapon pick-ups, the 8 newly designed and challenging race circuits push the pilots to unknown limits - quick decision-making & fast reactions are the key for victory!

WipEout 64 is a follow-up to WipEout XL, taking place one year later (2098). Like other installments in the series, it is a futuristic racing game in which players control hovercrafts and use weapons to damage the opponents' vehicles, trying to finish the race in the first position. The gameplay is similar to its predecessor in many aspects, such selection of hovercrafts, handling system, visuals, etc. The main differences include: Split-screen multiplayer gameplay (up to four players) is introduced Challenge mode includes: Race, Time Trial, Weapon, and Super Combo Challenges Each team has a special weapon of its own New racing tracks The Piranha vehicle is now capable of using weapons
