The first in the "Gold Box" trilogy of Dragonlance games, Champions of Krynn takes place in Krynn as the allies try to recover after the War of the Lance. The player controls a party of up to 6 companions who can be any of several races and classes. The game follows very closely to the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons ruleset, with dice roles being replaced by a random number generator. The game has several perspectives, showing the player as a dot on the map view, a top-down view in combat, and a very early first-person perspective in towns and dungeons.

Al-Qadim: The Genie's Curse is an action role-playing game set in the Al-Qadim campaign of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons pen-and-paper RPG. The gameplay alternates between visiting friendly areas, where the hero can talk to characters (including choices of dialogue lines and moral behavior), and exploring dungeons, where enemies must be fought in action-based combat. The hero can use melee weapons, a slingshot for ranged attacks, or cast magic spells. Experience points are awarded for defeating enemies; the player can raise the statistics of the protagonist should he gain a level. Acquiring special items and training may also permanently increase certain attack parameters.

Advanced Daisenryaku: Deutsch Dengeki Sakusen (アドバンスド大戦略 ドイツ電撃作戦), commonly referred to simply as Advanced Daisenryaku, is a 1991 strategy game developed jointly by Sega and SystemSoft and published by Sega for the Sega Mega Drive exclusively in Japan. It is part of SystemSoft's Daisenryaku series of strategy games, and is one of the few retail Mega Drive games to have online play compatibility via Sega Meganet. It also started the Advanced Daisenryaku line, all of which have been published by Sega. Sega and now-renamed SystemSoft Alpha rereleased the game in 2006 as part of Sega Ages 2500. In 2002-2006, Nebelwurfer fan-translated the game to English as Advanced Military Commander along with a translated manual.

Advanced Busterhawk Gley Lancer, commonly known as Gleylancer (グレイランサー), is a 1992 Sega Mega Drive shoot-'em-up by NCS released exclusively in Japan (despite having some of its text, such as in the Mover configuration screen described below, in near-perfect English). It was released internationally on the Wii Virtual Console in 2008. Despite the English configuration screen, translation group M.I.J.E.T. released a patch which translated the story text in 2006-2007. Lucia is the 16-year-old daughter of a fighter pilot who disappears while fighting a war between humans and aliens in 2025. He was captured by aliens whom he had captured earlier who had the ability to teleport. Lucia hijacks the prototype fighter CSH-01-XA "Gley Lancer" to save him.

Advance Wars: Dual Strike is the third installment in the Advance Wars series (first on DS media). Advance Wars is the international title of the Wars video game series, which dates back to the Family Computer game Famicom Wars in 1988. The storyline is a continuation of the previous series and is set in the new location of Omega Land. Black Hole has returned under the leadership of a new commander who seeks to give himself eternal life by draining the energy of Omega Land. The Allied Nations struggle to overcome this threat and are eventually joined by several former Black Hole commanding officers in an effort to save the land.
