Suikoden is a Japanese-style role-playing game with several unusual additions. There are three kinds of combat in the game, the most common one being the traditional turn-based party combat (players can have up to six people in their active party). Magic runes can be equipped on the player's characters which allow limited usage of offensive and healing spells. There are also a few army battles, where the player must control whole units of fighters, archers, magicians, etc., and one-on-one fights (duels).

The year is 2050. Ocean is the next frontier, and war inevitably reached there. As an independent mercenary working for a corporate conglomerate, the player has to pilot the latest fighter subs to protect the corporate interests, so they can get rewarded with cold hard cash. With 5 different theater of operations (of varying difficulty) and an interesting mix of aerial and submarine tactics, this game can be described as Strike Commander under the sea, without the narrative.

Choose from 8 ships, each with different handling and weaponry characteristics. Fly with up to 250 other players simultaneously, fighting for points, a good win/loss ratio, and the respect of your peers. Subspace is divided into "Zones" which provide different game types. You can join in on these games at any time. Some zones run "Capture the Flag" style games, others "Soccer" style, where players must compete over a ball, with their object to reach 10 goals for their team first. The most popular variant, however, is "Chaos", where literally anything goes. Kill or be killed. Offering unique multiplayer gaming based on a beautifully simple game concept, Subspace incorporates the best elements of online gaming into one package. A variety of different game styles, team or solo play, IRC-style chat, and infinite re-playability are only some of its many virtues. What started as a project to test the viability of a massive multiplayer environment with commercial backing quickly became one of the most entertaining and popular multiplayer games available.

The Meta-creature has returned to haunt the citizens of Balderia, who haven't yet recovered from their last encounter with the monster four years ago! Guide Admiral Mikan through the underwater dangers and into the enemy complex, and help him get rid of the monster for good!

The game consists of 10 missions. Each mission takes place in a vast cavern, with interesting weather conditions. You must explore it and complete the mission objectives -- usually collecting sub parts, rescuing trapped miners, or destroying giant, epic bosses. You can also explore the levels, but keep an eye on your fuel gauge and beware the many hazards!
