Mega Man & Bass, known in Japan as Rockman & Forte, is a video game developed by Capcom. It is a spin-off title in the original Mega Man series and was originally released exclusively in Japan on April 24, 1998 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). Mega Man & Bass was ported to the Game Boy Advance (GBA) handheld in 2002 and was localized in North America and PAL regions the following year. After defeating the evil Dr. Wily countless times, the robotic hero Mega Man is called into action once again when a powerful being known as King steals the blueprints to the creations of Dr. Wily and Dr. Light in order to create an army for robotic dominance over humans. Having learned of the threat, Mega Man's rival Bass decides to take matters into his own hands. The game is an action-platformer where the player advances by defeating bosses and acquiring their signature weapons. Mega Man & Bass lets the player choose between either of its titular characters, each of which plays differently than the other. Mega Man & Bass debuted on the aging 16-bit SNES despite the series having already transitioned to the PlayStation and Sega Saturn with Mega Man 8. Artist and designer Keiji Inafune claimed Mega Man & Bass was created with regard to younger players who did not yet own one of the more advanced gaming systems. The game has received positive remarks from critics for its use of a tried-and-true gameplay formula, though some found the difficulty to be too steep. Although Mega Man & Bass shares many traits with previous console games in the series, the ninth numbered title would not be released until several years later.

Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken expands upon browser-based game Rocketbirds: Revolution! and features four new levels, cut scenes, weapons and a brand new co-op campaign. Set in Albatropolis, a land full of birds taken over by a totalitarian penguin regime, you play as Hardboiled Chicken and must assassinate the evil penguin leader Putzki. His mission will unlock the secrets to his past and uncover the real enemies of Albatropolis. In single-player mode you play as Hardboiled Chicken and destroy your enemies with weapons you collect and unlock in each chapter which include a pistol, machine gun, shotgun and grenades. The game is a 2-D side scrolling platformer with gameplay that revolves around solving puzzles and killing enemies. There are also jetpack sections in which you must shoot other enemies out of the sky. The 2 player local co-op campaign lets you play as a pair of Budgie commandos on a mission to save the general’s daughter. The same areas are visited as in the single player but they are all modified slightly and the puzzles involve both players working together. There are six playable characters and each one has a different weapon. It is playable in stereoscopic 3-D. The original soundtrack was made by the Los Angeles based Sci-Fi rock band New World Revolution.
Nintendo 64
Release Date: November 15, 1995   |   Genre: Platform
First-time Nintendo 64 developer Sucker Punch Studios jumped onto the scene with a highly original 3D platformer. The design philosophy behind the title is simple -- rather than build the platformer around the main character, the software house opted instead to focus on the interactivity of the 3D environments he travels. To that end, Rocket employs an advanced physics engine which allows the main character, a lovable unicycle-based robot named Rocket, to travel and experiment with colorful, platform-esque worlds with realistic gravity and inertia. Every object has its own set of lifelike attributes that must be "weighed" into consideration when solving puzzles.
