Tetrisphere is a variant on Tetris in which various shapes are shifted across a wrapped three-dimensional grid resembling a sphere, and then destroyed. The objective of the game changes depending on the mode, but generally consists of removing layers of shapes to reach the playing field's core. Despite very little domestic advertising, Tetrisphere enjoyed moderately good sales and a mostly favorable critical reception. Reviewers praised the game's originality and the musical score composed by Neil D. Voss.

The general storyline of Overseer is similar to that of Mean Streets, the first game in Tex Murphy series, but it is told in a much more detailed way; gameplay style and locations are for the most part completely different. The gameplay system is similar to the one first implemented in Under a Killing Moon. The player can move around in a fully 3D environment, which can be viewed from different positions and angles at any time. Dialogues and cutscenes feature live actors. There are a number of puzzles to solve in Overseer, but in-game help is available if players find them too difficult.

Tex Murphy wakes up - disoriented and head pounding - on the fire escape outside his office atop the Ritz Hotel. Another typical morning for the last of the old-school detectives. Except it isn't. What starts out as the worst hangover in history becomes a baffling nightmare: something - or someone - has erased Tex's memory of the past seven years. Motivated by lost love, revenge and the world's strongest coffee blend, Tex must retrace his own steps into a maze of unsolved murders, hidden agendas and lost technologies of Nikola Tesla. Only by solving the mysteries of his past can Tex hope to regain his memory in time to restore what's been lost and stop a terrifying future.

The Pandora Directive is a sequel to Under A Killing Moon, utilizing the same 3D engine, real actors, and gameplay system. The player can physically explore the game world, looking at objects from different angles, zooming in, etc. It is necessary to talk to many people about various topics, and also solve some complex puzzles. The game provides a built-in hint system for the puzzles, but the player does not get any points for solving them if he opts to use it. The game introduces a new gameplay element: Tex has three kinds of answers at his disposal during some important dialogues. Depending on what kind of approach the player chooses for Tex (especially in conversations with his sweetheart Chelsee), subsequent plot events will be influenced, eventually leading to one of the six different endings.

Under A Killing Moon is the third game in the Tex Murphy series of adventures. It is notable for being the first "pure" adventure game in history that was set in a real 3D world; sprites or digitized images are used instead of 3D models, effectively making it a "2.5D game" visually similar to DOOM. Uncommonly for adventure games, Under A Killing Moon allows full maneuverability. The player can rotate the camera, change the viewing angle, zoom in and out, etc.; it is even possible to look for clues underneath desks, chairs, etc. Other features include an online hint system (that decreases the player's score with each use), extensive support for additional sound/music devices, and full-motion video technology: cutscenes and much of the dialogue are presented as movies with real actors.
