An updated version of Hiryu no Ken S: Golden Fighter which adds a choice of turbo speed levels to increase the speed of the combat. In the Story mode, the main storyline involves a demon named Dargon who has been revived with the sole intent to destroy the Flying Warriors, who are a team of superheroes. Dargon sent in his Tusk Soldiers to raid Shorinji and they ended up stealing the secret scroll of Hiryu-no-ken and a sacred sword. They also offer a challenge to anyone who wants to reclaim these artifacts, that they would have to have a showdown at the World Tournament. It is now up to Rick to enter this fighting tournament and win back these priceless artifacts. During story mode, players control Rick in a side scrolling beat 'em up. Occasionally one one one boss battles will occur. Players will also be able to find healing items called miracle water which will restore depleted health.

UFC: Throwdown is based on the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), mixed martial arts sports. The game places you in the position as a real-world fighter, utilizing various fighting styles, such as Freestyle, Wrestling, Kickboxing, Ju Jitsu, etc. Each fighter has a variety of real-life moves, in different categories. There are punches, kicks, grapples and takedowns. There are also ways of making your opponent submit, or "tapout", to gain a victory. You have the ability to perform combos, but these combos are realistic; you can perform a 1-2-3-4 punch combo, or a punch-punch-kick, or any variation of those. There are over twenty five fighters in the game, each one based off of real-life UFC fighters. The game includes fighter entrances and authentic voices.

You start off with just a basic jump, but eventually gain a double jump and even the ability to fly. You'll also earn lots of magic spells along the way. The game promises a greater number of spells and weapons than ever before. New for Goku Makaimura is non-linear gameplay. You're no longer on a fixed path from start to end. The levels include branching points and even warp points. By using a warp point, you can warp back to previous levels and collecting items that you might have missed.
