Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition is the sequel to the first Jurassic Park game on Genesis and mostly looks and plays like the predecessor. It is also a side-scroller. In this game you play as Dr. Grant. The big difference with the first game is that there are more enemies to defeat. In addition to the dinosaurs you have to defeat many InGen agents. The reason is that they are trying to recapture dinosaur DNA and eggs to build a new park or an army of dinosaurs.

Jurassic Park is a cinematic adventure game that has you playing from the viewpoints of multiple characters trapped on Isla Nublar, the island theme park where the attractions are prehistoric beasts. While the game has an original storyline, the events run parallel to the timeline in Michael Crichton's book and Steven Spielberg's 1993 film. Players will find themselves trapped on the island after Dennis Nedry's ill-fated attempt to sell frozen dinosaur embryos to a rival corporation. The game is a departure from developer Telltale Games' previous point-and-click titles, adding more action-oriented sequences in the form of quick-time events. You'll also be able to converse with fellow characters at any time using an "on-demand" dialogue system, and switch between story points and locales using a picture-in-picture display. Solving puzzles is still a central focus of the gameplay, as characters explore the island while figuring out how best to survive against the deadly dinosaurs.

Jurassic: The Hunted is a fast-paced first-person shooter that sends players back through time, to pit them against the monstrous creatures that ruled the title era. Survival itself is the greatest measure of success, as the player is challenged to outgun and outsmart aggressive oversized enemies such as raptors, Triceratops, and Tyrannosaurus. Various game modes have players scavenging the prehistoric environment for useful weapons and equipment, defending makeshift fortifications under siege, and in all-out boss battles and arena fights against giant, ferocious opponents. A bullet-time styled "adrenaline burst" feature allows players to slow the action down during key sequences, for a one-time chance to take careful aim at a dinosaur enemy's most vulnerable points. The budget-friendly game puts players in the role of expert survivalist Craig Dylan, who has been hired to help protect a team of researchers investigating a temporal distortion on a heretofore-unknown island. When Dylan is mysteriously pulled backward through time to the era of the dinosaurs, he has only his wits and his weapon skills to keep him from becoming some terrible lizard's lunch.

Release Date: October 1, 1993   |   Genre: Action
One of many games based on the 1993 blockbuster Jurassic Park, the version for Sega's 8-bit systems combines side-scrolling shooting action and platforming levels. In each of the five stages of the game, one escaped dinosaur species must be recaptured. Each level begins with a side-scrolling driving section. Dinosaurs attack the car and must be fend off by firing at them with a crosshair. If the player survives long enough, a boss battle against an especially powerful dinosaur follows. After the completion of the driving section the level continues with a platform section. The player must jump, duck and climb to survive moving lifts, floors that will crumble under his feet, environmental hazards like acid drops, steam leaks or giant boulders and more. Dinosaurs will of course also stand in the way, but can be defeated by using several weapons: a rifle, a grenade launcher and hand grenades. Navigating the often maze-like levels will lead to the dinosaur that must be captured and a corresponding boss fight. The first four levels (featuring a Velociraptor, Pteranodon, Triceratops and Brachiosaurus) can be tackled in any order, but the final level, featuring the Tyrannosaurus Rex, is only unlocked when the others have been completed.

The concept of the game is the same as the original Just Dance. Requiring only one Wii Remote per player, up to four people can play at a time, as they follow on-screen choreographed moves set to classic dance tracks. There are four new dance modes. In "Just Dance Mode", players can get together and dance for as long as they want, just for the fun of it. Other options include "Non-Stop Shuffle" for a non-stopping gameplay, and "Medleys", in which short pieces of 5 songs are mixed. The second new mode, "Duets" allows players to dance together, and in the process forces them to pay more attention to the players around them instead of simply following on-screen prompts. "Dance Battle Mode" is a team mode that features up to 8-player support. The individual scores are the basis of the overall team scores. Lastly is "Just Sweat Mode", which is an exercise mode that allows players to measure the energy they expend while dancing as well as set objectives to be met during their dance sessions.
