Lego Star Wars II takes the fun and customization ability of the LEGO play pattern and combines it with the epic story, characters and action from the revolutionary Star Wars: Episodes IV, V and VI. With a unique tongue-in-cheek take on the Original Trilogy, LEGO Star Wars II lets you build and battle your way through your favorite film moments. From Darth Vader's pursuit of Princess Leia aboard her Blockade Runner to Luke's final confrontation with Emperor Palpatine. For the first time ever, characters can get in and out of vehicles, as well as ride creatures. Because it's LEGO style, you can also mix and match the body parts of more than 50 playable characters to create one of millions of possible LEGO Star Wars heroes.

Lego Star Wars II is based on A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The game comically retells the trilogy's events using cut scenes without dialogue. The player assumes the roles of the films' characters, each of which possess specific weapons and abilities. At any time, a second player can join the game by activating a second controller.

Clone troopers and droids engage in comical battles in this continuation of the best-selling LEGO Star Wars series. Choose from an assortment of characters featured in Star Wars: The Clone Wars (as well as classic heroes such as Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca) while engaging in brick-on-brick combat and using character-specific abilities to solve puzzles. More than 20 missions are included along with 40 bonus levels set throughout the Clone Wars timeline. The action once again takes place from a third-person viewpoint set behind the LEGO characters, but you'll now be able to control multiple teams in different locales by swapping between groups with a button press. In addition to on-foot missions, you'll journey through the stars in spaceships or steer ground vehicles such the clone turbo tank. Simultaneous and split-screen multiplayer support is also included with drop-in and drop-out play.

LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game allows players to relive the events of the Star Wars prequel movie trilogy (Episodes I, II and III) in LEGO form. Players take control of over thirty characters to play through key moments from The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. The storyline includes most of the important events in the movies, omitting or adding a few sequences. The presentation of these events, however, is humorous, with all the characters and environments made out of LEGO bricks. Objects would often break apart like physical LEGO bricks, characters have comical expressions, and all dialogue from corresponding events from the movies is replaced by gestures.
