Release Date: October 23, 2000   |   Genre: Action, Adventure, Fighting, Role-Playing
Gameplay consists of a mix between platform/puzzle solving and battles. Outside of battles, the player usually controls Orphen, though certain sections of the game have you play as a different character in your party, and must explore each area one at a time, solving puzzles and jumping across platforms. Treasure chests are spread out throughout areas which contain either items that can be used outside of battle or equipment which is used during battle. Although enemies can sometimes be found throughout areas, there are many scripted battle sequences that occur throughout the game. In battles, the player controls one character throughout the whole battle (usually Orphen, though certain sections of the game have you play as a different character) and can use three different pieces of equipment. Types of equipment include: melee weapons, spells and elemental shields. The player can also press square to use their shield. The characters remain stationary during battle, only moving towards enemies to use melee weapons. Though battles are set up like turn-based battles, the battles occur in real time meaning that the player, allies and enemies can all attack at any time. If the controlled character dies during battle, the game ends and the player is returned to the title screen. However, the player can pause the battle and change equipment at any time, restarting the battle in the process. Because you can only save at certain points in the game in the form of checkpoints, this strategy can be used to avoid having to reload your file and make your way back to the battle if your character dies. ~Wikipedia

osu! is a freeware rhythm game originally for Microsoft Windows. Game levels are called beatmaps. In each beatmap, a song will play and different hit elements (hit circles, sliders and spinners) will appear on the play field. Players must use a pointing device to manipulate these elements in time with the playing song's rhythm in order to earn points. While the mouse is considered the most popular input device, combinations of mouse, Tablet PC, graphics tablet and keyboard can be utilised. The main objective when playing osu! is simply for players to hit, complete, and clear enough hit circles, sliders and spinners to keep their health bar, which drains at a steady rate throughout the game, above 0 until the song is over. More experienced players will often strive for a more specific and difficult goal, like improving their high score or grade on a particular map, usually by attempting to time their hits better and avoid as many misses as possible to increase combo multipliers
