For those of you that enjoy the thrill of taking up the blade and rising to the call of being a fearless hero to a kingdom in need - I doubt the Legend of Zelda games need an introduction. For those of you that may not be fully familiar with this game series, let me tell you that it is truly a masterpiece of its genre and generations. With a beautiful (and at times cliche) story driving the game play, players are faced with nearly endless adventure and demanding puzzles. In the world of challenging games, we tend to turn to easier solutions - such as cheat codes and game guides.

Personally, I don't highly support either, but for a game series I treasure, I will often times grab a collector's edition guide for the novelty. That is exactly what I did here for the launching of the new Wii U version of The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker HD. However, when I went searching for a collectors copy of the guide, I stumbled onto this beauty and thought I would share as I opened it. Hope you enjoy the sight as much as I did (and please forgive the poor photo quality; I don't have a great location to snap these yet). After the pictures, I'll share some details and opinions.

Each book in the set is the official collector's edition game guide. They are all hardcover books with metallic gold foiling on the cover and gold page edges. Some of these books are already out of print, making the collection a nice way to get one you may have missed. It includes 6 books; the guides for The Legend of Zelda's - Phantom Hourglass (DS), Twilight Princess (Wii and Gamecube), Spirit Tracks (DS), Ocarina of Time 3D (3DS), Skyward Sword (Wii), and The Wind Waker HD (Wii U). Sadly, it didn't include the book for the newest game: Link Between Worlds... so I had to pick that one up separately (wish I were kidding).

The collection also included a metal bookmark coated in a very shiny gold and finished with some iconic Zelda images; as you can see in the above pictures. It also included a certificate of authenticity as there were only 50,000 of these sets made. I am the holder of number 28,763. For a real fan and collector, this is a great piece. However, it comes at a price: these retail for around $180.

The only negative thing I can report is that the hardcover on these books are a little thinner than I wish they were and the box they are in is a little less sturdy than I would like. However, even with those things considered, I still consider this set worth buying. Thanks for reading!
