The GameCube controller was one of the best gaming controllers we've ever seen in my opinion. It's a perfect size and features a lot of buttons yet does not feel to crowded. If you've never used one, you may be getting another chance to use it with this generation of gaming consoles. Nintendo announced the GameCube Controller Adapter for the Wii U. It specifically mentions it being used for Super Smash Bros on the Wii U; but I'd be surprised if it doesn't become a "fan favorite" to be used on a lot of Wii U titles. Personally, I doubt there are any restrictions as to what games support it, but perhaps there will be. I cannot verify it either way at this point.

The other thought that comes out of this is that Nintendo start creating more GameCube controllers. Right now, it is hard to find good quality controllers for the GameCube, so this could be an additional perk for the GameCube lovers out there in need of a new controller - such as myself. This idea is supported by the picture; you can see the controller has different branding than the classic GameCube controllers. The branding shown here is the logo for Super Smash Bros.

One final thing to point out from the picture; you can see that the adapter will plug into both USB ports on the console and support 4 GameCube controllers. I think this is pretty awesome; but what about you?
