Hello readers, welcome to the first article following an unboxing of a Loot Crate. Don't know what a Loot Crate is? Well it is a subscription service for less than $20 a month including shipping. Every month Loot Crate sends out a new box filled with various items centered around a theme. Some previous themes were Space, Dragons, and Adventure. Dragons had items from Game of Thrones and Dungeons and Dragons etc. Adventure combined items from Minecraft, Adventure Time, and Legend of Zelda. Loot Crate doesn't always reveal which specific properties will be in the box, but they do reveal the monthly theme.
Which brings us to this month's theme: Transform! Obviously the main property in this crate is Transformers. Let's go to the reveal:
The crates always come in a stylish little black box sent with tracking information to arrive on or shortly after the 20th of the month:
Inside, the items are always neatly stacked and not crammed in. I have yet to receive a damaged item because things were crammed in poorly:
This month was a t-shirt month as well. The current offering had a Transformers/Back to the Future parody shirt Marty McPrime:
Another wearable included is this Major League Gaming sweat band:
More gear from Major League gaming. They included some stickers and a member rewards card:
Back to Transformers theme, here's an item I didn't even know existed. There is a Hexbug/Transformer crossover figure Crosshairs:
The last couple Loot Crates have had a tendency to also throw some candy in there too. In this case were 3 warheads. I can make sense of that since they "transform" in taste from sour to sweet:
Loot Crate has also been very consistent about including a blind box item for one of the properties involved as well. Previous ones included a Game of Thrones blind box, and an Adventure Time blind tin. The current one is from Transformers of course:
Mine contained Slag. I found the construction to be solid even on the joints, and the addition of the weapons was a nice touch:
Stickers are also a common inclusion, a Transformers the Loyal Subjects sticker:
And of course, the monthly theme button is always included:
That wraps up the contents of this crate. All in all I feel it was a solid buy for me. If only for the t-shirt and the blind box figure alone. Everyone should use their own judgement in determining whether they feel it is worth it. I personally have never been disappointed in getting one of these crates.
