In today's Nintendo Direct, Nintendo had two announcements regarding our hedgehog friend, Sonic. In addition to the announcement about Mario & Sonic At The Winter Olympic Games' online multiplayer capability, Nintendo also confirmed that he will return in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS.
While most people did not doubt he would make an appearance, the official confirmation is surely pleasing news to anyone who used them as their main in Brawl.

An interesting idea; the Nintendo 2DS seems to target those wanting the games and features of the 3DS, but not the 3D effect. Its being referred to as more of an entry level handheld, though the only actual difference is the lack of 3D support and the look of the device (as you can see in the image below).
If you are interested in picking up this new Nintendo handheld, it is set to launch on October 12, 2013 and should be $129.99 (nice when compared to the $170 3D... Read The Full Article

The GameCube controller was one of the best gaming controllers we've ever seen in my opinion. It's a perfect size and features a lot of buttons yet does not feel to crowded. If you've never used one, you may be getting another chance to use it with this generation of gaming consoles. Nintendo announced the GameCube Controller Adapter for the Wii U. It specifically mentions it being used for Super Smash Bros on the Wii U; but I'd be surprised if it doesn't become a "f... Read The Full Article

We have a lot of planned features for the future of EvilEye Games. To ensure our site doesn't just die, we will be releasing select features at specific intervals of time. Our goal is to turn these features out within weeks rather than months or years. The other part of this plan is keeping the community not only informed, but involved in the process. Right now, there is not a lot of room to adjust of plans, but please take a mment and post a comment letting us know wh... Read The Full Article

Minecraft, hopefully not a new game to anyone. Its been around for quite some time and those of us that have been playing it for as long as I can really appreciate this last update to version 1.7.2 being called "the update that changed the world".
Forgive my photography, but the image above shows some of the new plant life you can find in this version, which really adds to the depth of the world. These simple visual changes helps give us a more natural feel to the... Read The Full Article

In the world of 60+ dollars a game, it is certainly preferred to find a decent price... and you can't get much better than free.
Microsoft is giving away 2 full version games for absolutely nothing to anyone that wants them. The only qualifying factor is that you must have a Gold Xbox Live membership. Silver gets you nothing (no surprise there really). To get them, you can navigate to the game on your Xbox 360's marketplace or find them on xbox.com. When signed in... Read The Full Article

Yesterday, Microsoft announced that it had acquired the rights to the Gears of War franchise from Epic Games. The next installment will be an Xbox One exclusive made by Black Tusk Studios. But Rod Fergusson, formerly of Epic Games, will be one of the people overseeing the project. One must ask the question, however, how will this ownership change affect the franchise? Gears of War: Judgment sold noticeably less copies compared to the other games in the series a... Read The Full Article
