I use OneNote now for a number of things. I really like its free-form style of editing that allows me to throw icons, screenshots, and text onto a page with little to no structure; yet it still gives you the tools to make it look good. Plus it's free.  Another awesome feature is that it can sync across multiple devices if you store your data on the cloud (in your OneDrive), which it makes overwhelmingly simple to do. However, this feature caused me a little frustrati... Read The Full Article

On February 5th a random video showcasing a new game appeared on YouTube.  Within minutes this spread like wildfire with the game getting its own URL, a podcast interview, and even showing up on Steam.  This news is, of course, the announcement of Space Pirates and Zombies 2 by MinMax Games.  MinMax is a two-man studio that just wants to make the kind of games they couldn't while working for a Triple A development studio.  Their first release was SPAZ, a retro top-do... The Steam Summer Sale began yesterday. Personally, I love this event because I tend to get a lot of really great games for very little money. It's common to see items reduced by 50%, 75%, or even as high as 90% or more. Yes, there are a lot of little games that many may not have heard of; but there are a number of well known titles that will go for way less then you'd ever see anywhere else. And to be perfectly honest, I find those little games to be a lot of fun... and... Read The Full Article

If you are a member of Club Nintendo and haven't heard yet, the program will be shut down in June of this year. Here are some critical dates to remember and things you'll want to keep in mind. Before I get to the sour notes, let me excitedly state that Nintendo does plan on releasing a new program of some kind to replace Club Nintendo, but no details on that are available at this time. 1/20/2015 - Games released after January 20th 2015 will not include Club Nintendo... As some readers may know, I am a pretty big fan of the Legend of Zelda game series as well as Nintendo in general. So I when the opportunity came up to grab Nintendo's newest game system - the New 3DS XL - branded for Zelda fans, I had to jump on it. I've had the system pre-ordered for a while and was finally able to pick it up about 2 weeks ago; October 30th to be exact.  Here are some pictures showing my unboxing of Nintendo's New 3DS XL, Hyrule Edition.... Ouch! It has been way too long without an update, an article, or even a peep from us, so let me explain what is going on in a sentence or two. We have been focused on cleaning things up in our code and redesigning some of the layouts used on the site to be fully responsive. At the end of the day, what does that really mean? It means that our site will look good on mobile devices such as phones and tablets. It's even going to expand a little for those of you with larger m... Read The Full Article

We are currently working on finishing up some other projects, putting together our billing system (finally), and beginning th... Read The Full Article

With the start of a new year comes a refreshing sense of renewal. We have big plans (as usual) and hope to see a lot of them come to life in these next 365 days. The primary item I want to mention is with our articles. While we hope to increase the number of articles and frequency of them, we also hope their content can continue to grow into more useful and interesting topics. We are always open to suggestions if someone is interested in hearing our thoughts on somethin... Read The Full Article
Developer's World Written by Dark Snake 747 and posted on September 12, 2013 at 4:43 PM
In terms of technical product development, design could mean a few things. We aren't worrying about that now. Instead, we will focus on design as in the pre-production phase of a well-structured development effort. Okay... so what does that mean exactly? When a project to create some technical product (web site, application, game, etc) is thought up, it cannot just be created (or at least shouldn't be). There needs to be a time where you ask questions and find the an... Read The Full Article
